I'm reading Guido Tonelli's book "Genesis" and get annoyed. Again and again I am confronted with the fact that I hardly understand the interpretations of particle physics. For example, why do we talk about particles crawling in and out of a vacuum, which is nothing more than the "workings" of Einstein's discovery of E=mc², i.e. huge energies can be converted into mass and then mass can be dissipated back into energy?
